Running Your Own Great CPD and INSET
This programme looks at ways to increase the quality of your own in-house INSET and CPD. This course is not about the content of your training, but rather how you can deliver it so that you turn your colleagues into active, engaged and willing participants in their own development.

Pathways to Effectiveness

This training gives you and your staff tried and tested methods of working that provide a sustainable sense of focus, purpose, and increased effectiveness whilst staying kind and authentic to ourselves.

In it we will be exploring and using a system roughly based on the American educator, author and businessman, Steven Covey’s “7 Habits of Highly Effective People”. There are four parts to the training:
• Where am I coming from?
• How can I improve my personal effectiveness?
• How can I perform better with others?
• Staying kind and authentic to myself

Becoming Even More Effective Pupils and Students

All that we believe about being effective staff members also applies to your students and pupils, only more so! This material is a fantastic way to support young people to organise their life so that they can get the most out of it. Great habits in thinking, established over years, will affect positive outcomes in just about every aspect of school life including: Attendance and punctuality; Behaviour; Study skills and independent learning; Relationships with parents, staff and peers; Exam and test results.

Un-Sticking the Stuck Kids

We all come across those students and young people who can’t or won’t engage with us, no matter what we do.

This course is an introduction to some quick, easy to use and effective tools adapted from NLP and Life-Coaching that will help students become aware of their “stuckness” and offer opportunities to change it.

Increasing the Resilience and Wellbeing of Your Staff

Do you want yourself and your staff to have even better relationships with the students and each other? Would you like to be even more resilient in what you do? Would you like your staff to have even more control over themselves and their working environment? Is stress and burnout something you want to avoid? Do you wish your staff had fewer “bad days” and bad days that were even less bad? Do you want to reduce feelings of powerlessness and being overwhelmed in your workplace?

If you can answer “Yes” to any/all of these questions, this training is designed help you and your staff.

Life-Coaching Skills for Your Workplace

Life-coaching takes the ideas and principles behind successful sports coaching, develops and applies them for you to use in your school. Coaching will help your staff get the very best out of themselves, and this training will give them the basic skills to start coaching for themselves, with each other and with the pupils they work with.

The training will introduce basic coaching skills by setting up and working through an exemplar coaching session focussing on three basic questions: Where am I? Where do I want to be? How will I get there? In this introduction, we will look at basic coaching skills such as goal-setting, maintaining focus and motivation, and accessing the best resources.
