NLP and Hypnotherapy

Both Cath and Steve are qualified hypnotherapists registered with the General Hypnotherapy Register (Cath) and the National Council for Hypnotherapy (Steve). 

We are both Master Practitioners of NLP, registered with INLPTA, and combine both approaches in therapeutic sessions. We generally work one-to-one with clients, although we can also work with couples.

What happens in therapy?
Firstly, we spend some time getting to know each other and building trust and confidence.
• You will be taught how to access your own trance state. (If you have ever had a day-dream or lost yourself in a book/film/TV show, you will know what we mean!)
• We use NLP techniques to help you to access your own resources that will enable the changes you want to make.

How does it work?
NLP and Hypnotherapy are very natural processes: It is estimated that about 95% of people can easily access their own trance state
• In trance, you can “turn-off” the conscious part of your mind to concentrate on the unconscious part where you have stored all the memories, learning and experiences of your life. This fantastic resource is what you can learn to use to make changes. 
• Hypnotherapy is a very gentle approach to personal change. For example, many techniques can be done with the therapist guiding you through a process where you don’t have to say anything if you don’t want to.

How does it fit in with the rest of your life?
Your mind and body are parts of the same system called “You”. By making a positive change in one part of the “system”, you will notice knock-on effects for other parts of your life. 
For example: When you successfully give up smoking it can lead to obvious physical improvements, and you also give yourself a pay rise, plus you might feel more confident about making other changes, while at the same time alter how you think about yourself, and improve the lives of people around you…etc.
• Hypnotherapy can give you insights into how you “work” (think, feel and behave) which you can use to affect not only your own life, but also others.

What's your investment?
£50 - standard session (Between 60 to 75 minutes).
£35 - for students and those in receipt of benefits.
We don’t ask clients to buy a set number of sessions because different clients and situations will require varying numbers of consultations. Instead you will be charged session by session. Our aim is to ensure that you have just the right amount of input to resolve your issues and make any changes that you want.
